Help

1) Control Panel

Once registered, you will be taken to the Control Panel page. Here you have the option to access vmail, display classified adverts choosing from the drop down menu of categories, create your own website, and complete your details.

2) Events Calendar

If you have an event to add to the calendar, email the webmaster about it. A link is available at the Events Calendar page.

3) Discussion Forum

Once logged in you can click on ‘Create New Topic’. Here you fill in ‘Title of Forum’ and then ‘Body Text,’ where you can expand on your topic. Then click on ‘Save’, and you will see your topic and name displayed in the discussion forum list.

4) Creating your own Website

  • Creating a website is done with the help of webmaster.
  • Once webmaster’s control panel is available to you, click on ‘Websites’, and within that click on ‘Create Small Business Website’.
  • Fill in ‘handle’, which is the website address eg ehollandpark.com (although you don’t need to add .com to the name). Then fill in ‘title’ which is the website title eg eHollandPark. Then put your name in the ‘website owner’ space.
  • Click on ‘save details’, and your website will be displayed in the box of websites, all of which have been created through ehollandpark.com’s website building facility.
  • Click on your website, and the link will take you back to configuration box, to which you must add a password and press ‘save’.
  • Logout from webmaster’s username, and login with own username. Your new website address is displayed within your ‘Control Panel’ page.

5) Editing your own website

  • Click on your new website.
  • Click on ‘Design Theme’.
  • Choose the web page format you would like, and click on the ‘OK’ button.
  • Then click on ‘Create Page’, where a box will be displayed. The first line ‘Prority’ is referring to the pages contained in your website, and the order you want to put them in. List their priority number in 1001, 1002, 1003 etc. Bear in mind ‘Admin Controls’ and ‘Home’ are 1000, and will be displayed on the page when you edit the page, but not on your completed page.
  • The next line is ‘Name’, where you can label the page you are creating within your website. For eg if you are a flowershop, you could have a page for different flowers, and name them ‘Pansy’, ‘Rose’, ‘Daffodils’ etc.
  • Third line is ‘Description’, where you briefly write your webpage’s contents, for search engines to locate you when people type in keywords.
  • 4th line ‘Keywords’ is for search engines to locate your page fast when people type in keywords. So here you would perhaps put the key flowers you sell eg ‘Pansy’, ‘Rose’…

6) Using Vmail

  • Once you have registered you will automatically be a Vmail member. Vmail is the similar to email systems such as Outlook Express or Yahoo.
  • Click on ‘Compose’ to write an Vmail, and then enter the name/s of those you want to send the Vmail to.
  • Write in ‘Subject’ box, describing email contents, and then write the Vmail.
  • If you want to send an attachment with your Vmail click on the ‘Browse’ tab, and select the document from the list brought up by your computer. Change the folder if your document is not listed.
  • When Vmail is completed, click on ‘Send’. Once Vmail is sent you will be taken back to your messages.

To exit click on ‘Log out’ on left hand side at top of list.
